just in and sweaty from grooooving at jivamukti to krishna das and mc yogi! yay. just what i needed.
i’m grateful for:
1) the vegan brownies at jivamukti
2) the innocent boyish fun and hilarity of mc yogi
3) ganesh is fresh!
4) feeling it all
5) dancing my booty off tonight to hip hop kirtan
6) that i get to dive into the new spearhead album
7) the love in my heart, even when it seems to hurt like a tearing ligament (is it just stretching like the grinch’s heart? will i get stretch marks on it?)
8) my deepening, widening friendships with women
9) the moon, still–even tho it’s “the most volatile of the year,” according to susan miller
10) arjuna’s tabla playing
11) this poem and rob breszny for including it in his newsletter today:
You Don’t Have to Act Crazy Anymore
You don’t have to act crazy anymore —
We all know you were good at that.
Now retire, my dear,
From all that hard work you do
Of bringing pain to your sweet eyes and heart.
Look in a clear mountain mirror –
See the Beautiful Ancient Warrior
And the Divine elements
You always carry inside
That infused this Universe with sacred Life
So long ago
And join you Eternally
With all Existence – with God!

I was there last night too! My son, Alex, did the little breakdance ditty!
I danced my booty off too… so much fun! I like the poem… Hafiz is one of my favorites.
That’s so cool, Julie! I think I caught a glimpse of him amidst the wall of people. Yeah, Hafiz just reaches across the centuries and into my heart.
