easter evening gratitude

i am grateful for…

1) bo, the obama pup

2) feeling better from this awful cold, tho still not 100%

3) having spontaneous rice and beans with jj and kk and a and p and the little ones too

4) the four trees in bloom at the botanical garden today. they were like treelebrities, with all the papparazzi around them, clicking away. it was indeed lovely and encouraging to see the pink petaled softness. flowers are so psychically gentle.

5) that there’s a new greek frozen yogurt place across the street, though they don’t seem to know the ingredients of their yogurt, other than it not having refined sugar

6) SUNSHINE!!!

7) the ricky gervais hbo special. i really almost peed myself over the hiv-prevention pamphlet bit.

8) lunch with e. on friday

9) red sweatpants

10) that in three weeks my S.A.D should abate for a bunch of months

11) the notion of rebirth, fresh starts, new chances, do-overs. even though i managed to seemingly backtrack on something today. but maybe what seems like a backtrack is actually a forward step in disguise? or maybe i should just not be allowed to use my phone, email, or facebook on major holidays.
